Checkpoints on NW border of Syria with Turkey open: OCHA

Damascus, Dec 9 (UNI) All the checkpoints on the northwestern border of Syria with Turkey are open and are being used to send humanitarian aid, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) told RIA Novosti on Monday.
"In north-west Syria, the three border crossings from Turkey used by the UN to deliver assistance into Syria remain open, and the UN and our partners are providing aid, including to those newly displaced," OCHA said in a statement.
The UN is working to restore its activities in the regions of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Homs, OCHA said.
