Patna, June 11 (UNI) On the eve of World Day Against Child Labour, Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar said that child labour remains a serious blot on society and humanity and called for collective efforts to ensure that every child enjoys a safe and dignified childhood.
Prem Kumar said here that every child has the right to a secure childhood, quality education, proper nutrition and a life of dignity. He stressed that forcing children into labour not only violates their fundamental rights but also undermines the nation's future.
The Speaker stated that both the central and Bihar governments are implementing several welfare initiatives aimed at eliminating child labour.
