China, US agree to extend tariff pause for another 90 days - Joint Statement

Beijing, Aug 12 (UNI) Following the talks in Stockholm, China and the United States agreed to extend the tariff pause, which expires on August 12, for another 90 days, according to the text of the joint statement of the parties published by the White House and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
According to the document, the parties agreed on "suspending 24 percentage points of that rate for an additional period of 90 days, starting on August 12, 2025, while retaining the remaining ad valorem rate of 10 percent on those articles."
The statement also notes that the Chinese side will continue to take the necessary measures to suspend or cancel non-tariff countermeasures against the United States.
