China watched, Pakistan struck: Beijing’s covert role in Op Sindoor comes under spotlight

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) The deepening strategic and military nexus between Pakistan and China came under renewed scrutiny during the first anniversary briefing of Operation Sindoor, with senior military officials pointing to Beijing’s extensive military backing to Islamabad, ranging from weapons platforms to alleged real-time satellite support during the conflict.
The issue surfaced prominently during a media briefing addressed by top military officials marking one year of Operation Sindoor. Acknowledging the depth of Beijing-Islamabad defence relationship and asserting that India remained focused on operational preparedness, former Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai said, “The fact that Pakistan and China, in their own words, have a relationship that is deeper than the seas, higher than the mountains. The fact that Pakistan has 80 per cent of its military equipment of Chinese origin is a given.
