Congress Govt ensuring food security, housing, and inclusive Growth: Uttam

Suryapet, Aug 15 (UNI) Telangana Irrigation, Food & Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress government in Telangana is committed to ensuring food security, housing for the needy, and inclusive growth so every citizen can live with dignity.
Speaking after hoisting the National Flag at the Suryapet District Collector’s office during the 79th Independence Day celebrations on Friday, Uttam highlighted key welfare measures, including free fine rice to over 80 per cent of the population, new ration cards, free bus travel for women, subsidised LPG, and expanded social pensions.
He said the government is focused on farmers’ welfare with loan waivers, crop insurance, and completion of pending irrigation projects, while the Rajiv Arogyasri health cover has been raised to Rs 10 lakh per family. Education, women’s empowerment, green initiatives, and modern infrastructure are also being prioritised.
