Covid toll surges to 207 in Odisha, tally mounts to 36,297 with 1384 new cases

Bhubaneswar, Aug 03 (UNI) The covid toll in Odisha today surged to 207 with ten more patients succumbing to the virus during the last 24 hours while the tally increased to 36,297 with 1384 new cases.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said three covid patients from Ganjam and Rayagada district , two from Gajapati district and one each from Kalahandi and Khurdha district died in the state while under treatment taking the total covid toll in the state to 207.
At the same time two more covid patients, one each from Malkangiri and Ganjam district also passed away.

Two kg of heroin seized near the Myanmar border in Mizoram

Aizawl, Mar 28(UNI) In one of the most significant seizures to date, the Mizoram Excise & Narcotics Department intercepted a car on the highway connecting Champhai to the border town of Zokhawthar and seized 2.475 KG of heroin from near the Myanmar border in the eastern region of Mizoram's Champhai district on Thursday.
