New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) Day 3 of the second UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championships
at the Thyagaraj Stadium brought a mix of predictable results, surprise exits, and some stirring comebacks, as the main draws in men’s, women’s, and youth categories began to take shape.
For Bengal’s Ankur Bhattacharjee, the withdrawal of defending champion Manush Shah (RBI) has proven fortuitous. Despite bowing out in the quarterfinals at the previous event, Ankur now finds himself seeded No. 1 in the men’s singles, nudging seasoned campaigner G. Sathiyan to the second spot.
