DC gave special instructions to Health Department and Jal Shakti Department regarding diarrhoea-affected areas

Hamirpur (HP), Jan 28(UNI) Deputy Commissioner Debasweta Banik saidon Saturday that in view of the outbreak of the diarrheal disease in some villages Niyati, Shankar, Thai, Jandli Rajputan, Jandli Gujran, Van, Dehi, Thapar and Rangas under Primary Health Center Rail, the Health Department and Jal Shakti Department have been given special direction. Instructions have been issued.
She said that teams of the health department were screening people in the affected villages. The officers of the Jal Shakti Department have also been instructed to check and test all drinking water sources and supply lines in the area. Other possible reasons for the spread of the disease are also being investigated.
The Deputy Commissioner said that essential medicines, ORS packets, chlorine tablets and other materials had been delivered in sufficient quantity to these villages through the health department's doctors, health workers and Asha workers.
