Delhi Court extends 14 days judicial custody of Sisodia till Apr 3 in Delhi liquor policy case

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) A Delhi Special court after hearing the plea on behalf of CBI extended the 14 days judicial custody of Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia arrested on the allegations of corruption in Delhi Liquor policy case.
CBI Special Judge MK Nagpal after hearing the plea on behalf of CBI extended the judicial custody of Sisodia till April 3. He is presently in the Enforcement Directorate's 5 days custody till March, 22.
Sisodia has moved a bail application earlier in this case which will be heard by Special Judge on March, 21.
Sisodia had earlier moved Apex Court against the order of CBI Special Judge but Supreme Court on February, 28 refused to entertain the petition by pointing out that he had sufficient legal remedies before approaching the highest court so can make all points before the High Court and after that he moves before the trial Court.
Sisodia was arrested by Investigating Agency on February, 26 after about eight hours of questioning on various aspects of the excise policy for 2021-22. According to Investigating Agency the excise policy suffered from irregularities in its formulation and implementation.
