Delhi LG, CM attend Ambedkar Univ’s convocation, degree not academic achievement but commitment to society: Sandhu

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday attended the 14th annual convocation ceremony of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi, where students were encouraged to view education not merely as personal achievement, but as a responsibility towards society and nation-building.
In his address to the gathering, LG said the university had carved a distinct identity for itself in the fields of social sciences, humanities and public engagement over the past 17 years.
What began with just a diploma programme in 2008, now the institution has expanded into a multi-disciplinary university offering a wide range of academic courses, he said.
