Delhi Police files FIR over AI video of PM Modi and his mother, against Congress IT cell

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) The Delhi Police have registered an FIR against the Bihar Congress for sharing an AI-generated video related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, Hiraben.
The FIR was lodged on Saturday, September 13, 2025, regarding the AI/deepfake video that Bihar Congress had shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
The FIR cites “defaming and tarnishing the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, violating law, ethics, and the dignity of women” under sections 18(2), 336(3), 336(4), 340(2), 352, 356(2), and 61(2) of the Indian Penal Code, 2023.
