Delhi Traffic Police special drive nets over 24,000 traffic violators

New Delhi, Dec 15, (UNI) Delhi Traffic Police challaned over 24,000 vehicles and impounded 144 during a special enforcement drive Operation Chakravyuh, an officer said on Monday.
The police launched the drive on December 1 on the directions of Satish Golcha, Commissioner of Police, and the two-week-long operation was carried out by the Traffic Management Division in close coordination with local police stations and PCR units.
“The drive focused on habitual and serious traffic offenders at identified hotspots across the city,” said Shashank Jaiswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Management.
