New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said difference of opinion is not the problem, but lack of opinion is the real challenge for the democracy.
“The honest person with any ideology we always respect him but the people's philosophy is neither we are rightest nor leftist but we are known for opportunism that is the big problem for democracy,” said Gadkari.
Addressing Deepika Newspaper’s 136th anniversary valedictory celebration program at Constitution Club of India in Delhi, Gadkari said our country has a largest democracy and the role of media is more important. “In the economic point of view, particularly for print media, if there is more circulation more losses are there, the basic principle is less circulation more advertisement and good profit that is to be the principle of the media,” he added.
“I always feel that the role of the media is very important for educating the people, particularly in rural areas. The young generation is very much interested to know about new research, technology and developments,” Union Minister said.
“Deepika Newspaper’s role in Malayalam is very important, especially educating farmers, socio-economic transformation field and encouraging young talent. My best wishes to all stakeholders,” said Gadkari.
