Dr Paramsehwara announces Tumakuru Dasara

Tumakuru, Sept 8 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara today announced Tumakuru Dasara 2025 celebrations, announcing that the festival will be held for 11 days this year, as per the Hindu calendar, instead of the traditional nine-day format.
Addressing the media, Dr Parameshwara said, "This year also, we are going to celebrate Dasara in Tumakuru. We launched it in a simple yet beautiful manner today. The festival will represent the cultural richness of Tumakuru, and we will make it more vibrant and inclusive."
Explaining the extension, the minister pointed out that the Hindu calendar prescribes 11 days of celebration for this year. "Accordingly, the festivities will be conducted for the full duration. This provides us a wider platform to organise diverse cultural programmes, community gatherings, and traditional rituals," he said.
