Earth Sciences Ministry lauds IISF for taking science to people

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Ministry of Earth Sciences on Thursday gave a thumbs up to the upcoming India International Science Festival (IISF) — a collaborative government initiative running for nearly a decade.
Addressing the curtain raiser ceremony at Panjab University, Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) said IISF follows a bottom-to-top movement, taking science to the people — nurturing curiosity and enthusiasm among young minds.
The four-day event, scheduled for 6–9 December at the Panjab University in Chandigarh, aims to bring together scientists, innovators, researchers, educators and students from across India to showcase scientific achievements and foster collaboration towards building an Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat, the ministry noted.
