EC rubbishes allegations of RJD on EVM tampering

Patna, Nov 18 (UNI) The Election Commission today strongly refuted the allegations of RJD leader Jagadanand Singh that each EVM was "pre-loaded with 25,000 votes", saying it is technically impossible.
Election Commission issued a comprehensive clarification and rebuttal on allegations of the RJD leader in which it was stressed that such kind of tampering is quite impossible. "EVMs had no connectivity with internet, bluetooth or any other network which could be misused to operate it by remote control," the Commission pointed out.
"Before polling, each EVM displays ‘0’ votes for every candidate, and a mandatory Mock Poll is conducted in the presence of all political party agents, after which all mock votes are cleared and a Mock Poll Certificate is jointly signed," the Election Commission maintained.
