ECI Special Observers review poll preparedness in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jan 28 (UNI) A three-member team of special observers of the Election Commission of India on Saturday held a review meeting on electoral preparedness ahead of the Meghalaya Assembly polls scheduled to be held on next February 27, an election official said .
Three special observers - special general observer, Yogendra Tripathi, special police observer, V Johri and special expenditure observer, B Murli Kumar held a review meeting with Chief Electoral Officer Frederick Roy Kharkongor, Chief Secretary Donald Philips Wahlang and Director General of Police L.R. Bishnoi.
The special observers also reviewed the electoral preparedness of Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and election expenditure management officials in all 12 districts of the State.
