ED issues summons in Rahul Gandhi's alleged British citizenship case; key witness called to appear on Sep 9

Lucknow, Sep 6 (UNI) In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's alleged British citizenship, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued official summons to the key individuals involved in the case.
According to sources, Vignesh Shishir, a BJP worker and the petitioner in the matter, revealed on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that he has been asked to appear before ED officials on September 9, 2025. Shishir stated that he will submit all relevant information he possesses to the agency.
Shishir has already filed a petition in the double bench of the Lucknow High Court, seeking cancellation of Rahul Gandhi's Indian citizenship and the registration of an FIR against him. He alleges that Rahul Gandhi had submitted documents indicating British citizenship while residing in the UK.
