Efforts underway to make NIT Srinagar library among best libraries in India: Director

Srinagar, Apr 23 (UNI) Reviewing work at central library pitches or the availability of more e-resources, Director National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, Prof Rakesh Sehgal on Friday said that efforts are underway to make the campus library among the best libraries in the entire country.
To mark the World Book Day at NIT Campus, Prof Sehgal along with Registrar NIT Prof Kaiser Bukhari visited Library and Information Resource Centre on the campus and reviewed the progress and arrangements.
He said during the 2014 devastating floods in Kashmir, around 32,654 books were damaged in the library and from the past three years, the administration has not left any stone unturned to make damaged books available again. From the last two years, over 10,000 books have been added to the library collection, he said.
