Enact special law for IT employees’ welfare: CPI

Hyderabad, Dec 14 (UNI) Telangana CPI State Secretary and MLA Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao today welcomed the High Court’s remarks on the need for regulating working hours and ensuring job security for IT employees and demanded that a comprehensive law be enacted for their welfare.
In a statement, he said that although software professionals are often seen as white-collar employees, many of them are forced to work excessively long hours, leading to severe mental stress and lifestyle-related diseases at a young age.
Sambasiva Rao described the observations made by Justice Nagesh Bheemapakka on issues such as lack of job security, arbitrary dismissals and agreements compelling employees to pay compensation if they resign as commendable.

Tharoor says he's unapologetic over his Sindoor stance; never violated party line
