EntertainmentPosted at: Nov 29 2022 4:12PM Painters from Nepal participate in Gangtok exhibitionGangtok, Nov 29 (UNI) Works by 14 artists from Nepal besides a host of creations from their Indian counterparts were showcased at a three-day exhibition-cum workshop of watercolour paintings here. Organised under an exchange programme, the event that concluded on Monday was held at the initiative of Oviya Art Circle in association with the International Watercolour Society. Architect cum senior artist Kiram Rasaily urged participants ts from Nepal to take manyphotographs from Sikkim and make 100s of paintings. He also called upon tem to take part in an art exhibition slated to be held here to celebrate the birth centenary of former Sikkim Chogyal (king)Palden Thondup Namgyal’s birth centenary. In April, 2023.NB Gurung, President International Watercolor Society, Nepal, said he gets his inspiration to paint from his beautiful motherland. “Art and culture between Sikkim and Nepal needs to be promoted.
