EU Foreign Ministers discuss Hong Kong, Turkey

Brussels, Jul 13 (UNI) The European Union's Foreign Ministers gathered in Brussels to discuss a host of topics, including EU's relations with Turkey and the recently-imposed Hong Kong security law.
EU's Foreign Affairs chief Josep Borrell said ahead of the talks that relations with Turkey were not very good at the moment, citing the country's human rights situation, disagreement over migrant policy and the conversion of Istanbul's Hagia Sophia from a Museum into a Mosque, as factors, which have contributed to the recent tensions between Turkey and the EU.
Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn was also critical of Turkey's treatment of it's human rights activists.
