Fake recruitment scam busted in Punjab police

Chandigarh, Jun 12 (UNI) The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), has busted an alleged fake recruitment scam in Punjab police by arresting two employees for accepting bribes totalling Rs. 26.03 lakh from 102 persons in exchange for "providing" jobs of grade-4 employees, an official source said on Wednesday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Tarlochan Pal, posted as a cleaner (grade-4 worker), residing at Mohalla Begampur in Jalandhar district, and co-accused Surinderpal, posted as a barber at the Punjab Police
Academy in Phillaur. He is a resident of Sikri village in Karnal district of Haryana.
