Farmer dies in road accident in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Jun 5 (UNI) A 50-year-old farmer died after being hit by a speeding car while crossing the road near Nile village on Kolhapur-Ratnagiri highway on Monday.
Farmer Vishnu Narayan Ingavale, a resident of Kotoli village in Shahuwadi tehsil of the district, who was on his way with other farmers to Chandoli to buy a bullock, was crossing the road this afternoon when a speeding car, on way to Ratnagiri, dashed him.
In this accident, Vishnu sustained serious head injury and was immediately shifted to Chhatrapati Pramila Raje hospital here but succumbed during the medical treatment, police said.
