Few opening hiccups, but favourites progress

Indore, Jan 30 (UNI) Ankur Bhattacharjee of West Bengal, title favourite in the Boys Singles, was forced to drop a game by Khelendrajit Yengkhom of Manipur before winning 3-1 the Khelo India Youth Games that began at the Abhay Prashal here on Monday.
Ankur let his opponent from Manipur take a game off him when Khelendrajit played superbly. But he failed to sustain against a quality player like Ankur and wilted under pressure.
In Group A, Divyansh Srivastava beat P. Yeshwanth of Karnataka 3-0 but not before the early hiccups. He won on extended points but steadied soon after to wrap it up in the next two.
