Film celebrates historic bronze win of Indian women’s ice hockey team

New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) A new film 'Sound of Courage’ raises a toast to the Indian Women’s ice hockey team as it recounts the fascinating saga of how they overcame societal hurdles, the problem of below-par resources and oppressive climate conditions to win the bronze at the recent Asia Cup.
The team did the nation proud by finishing third at the 2025 IIHF Women's Asia Cup in Al-Ain, UAE in June.
The film by Pocket FM is set against the stark and stunning landscape of Ladakh. It documents how these women braved societal resistance, inadequate gear, and freezing temperatures to chase a dream many deemed impossible. Often training in borrowed men’s gear, their story is one of courage, conviction, and unrelenting belief in themselves.
