Fire damages Shrine in Srinagar, police registered case

Srinagar, June 19 (UNI) A fire incident damaged the shrine of revered saint Hazrat Baba Naseeb-u-Din Gazi in Srinagar’s Sangam Eidgah area during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.
After the incident, a large number of people including women took to streets alleging “sabotage” and demanded a probe.
Jammu and Kashmir Police said that it took cognizance of the incident of arson and damage to the shrine and registered FIR under relevant sections of law in Police Station Sangam.
