New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) Supreme Court to get five new judges soon, as the Attorney General (AG) of India, told the Supreme Court that it would soon clear five names which were recommended by the collegium in December for appointment of judges in the apex court and warrant for their appointment would be issued shortly.
A division bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul was hearing the petitions concerning delay by the Central Government in clearing names as High Court and SC judges after being cleared by the Collegium.
The AG, R Venkataramani, top law officer of the Union government appearing for the Federal govt, told the top Court bench that the new appointments may come through by Sunday or very close to that day.
