Fulfilling yet another poll promise, Delhi govt opens applications for ration cards: Sachdeva

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday said that with the overwhelming support of the people, the party's government in the national capital is gradually moving towards fulfilling every promise made in its 2025 Assembly Election Resolution, and in line with this, the regime is set to begin the process of issuing ration cards from next week.
According to the BJP leader, during the past 8 years, the then Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi made tall claims, but failed to provide poor people with an essential document like a ration card. Poor families were forced to purchase rations from the open market, he alleged.
The Delhi BJP chief also stated that after more than 8 years, the process of issuing approximately 2 lakh new ration cards in Delhi will begin from next week, and to maintain transparency in this process, applications will be accepted only online.
