A Google spokesperson wrote a welcoming gesture for the new AI coding talent members coming from Windsurf.
As per the X post of Jeff Wang (Windsurf's new interim CEO), Douglas Chen will also join Google as part of the decided deal.
Windsurf technologies became the talk of tech corridors this year due to their “Vibe Coding” feature, which is the process of leveraging new technologies for the coding process. Many developers and non-developers took this factor, which also led to the surge in the profits of Windsurf Research.
