Governor urges promotion of moral values, social harmony at Valmiki Mahasabha Convention

Palampur (Kangra), May 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on Saturday called for strengthening moral values, social harmony and inclusive development, saying that collective efforts were essential to ensure that weaker sections of society are not left behind in the nation’s progress.
Addressing the inaugural session of the two-day 19th National Convention of the Akhil Bhartiya Valmiki Mahasabha at the auditorium of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University in Palampur, the Governor said such conventions provide a new direction to society and help strengthen social dialogue and unity.
The Governor inaugurated the convention by lighting the ceremonial lamp and paying floral tributes to Maharishi Valmiki and B. R. Ambedkar.
