Govt mulls action over falsehoods in Dharmasthala case

Bengaluru, Aug 15 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar today said the state government was actively considering legal and administrative measures against individuals who allegedly spread false information and engaged in misinformation regarding the Dharmasthala case.
Addressing reporters outside the KPCC office, Shivakumar emphasised that the controversy should not be viewed as either supportive of or hostile to the Dharmasthala institution, but rather as a matter of ensuring that all due legal processes are respected.
“This is not about being for or against Dharmasthala. I have been closely associated with the place and have deep faith in its devotion, traditions, and rituals. I am confident that the ongoing investigation will expose any conspiracy that may have taken place. Our Home Minister will present the full facts before the Assembly, so that the truth is placed before the people of Karnataka,” he said.
