Lucknow, Nov 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the state government is ready for discussions on overall development, public welfare, issues related to public interest and resolution of public problems during the winter session of Uttar Pradesh State Legislature.
Talking to the reporters ahead of the winter session in the Vidhan Bhawan, the CM said, "Our government is fully prepared to answer all the questions of the members and is ready to discuss all the issues related to development of UP. All the members of different political parties have been invited for a meaningful discussion on the topic."
Emphasizing the importance of the house as a crucial platform to address issues concerning the general public and draw the government's attention towards them, he expressed the confidence that all members, considering the sentiments of the common people, would contribute towards making the house a center for healthy discussions.
The CM asserted that the government would work towards strengthening the legislature further through meaningful discussion. "In this session, along with the supplementary budget, pending legislative work would be completed," he said.
He said that over the past six and a half years, the legislature has successfully promoted meaningful discussions on important issues, representing democratic values, much to the curiosity and wonder of people.
Yogi said, "I especially appeal to the members of the opposition parties that it is the responsibility of the ruling party as well as the opposition to hold discussions in a dignified manner in the House throughout the country. Thereby, let us contribute in maintaining the dignity of the House."
He said that the government is fully prepared to discuss and address all issues related to public welfare, development and public interest as well as other subjects related to the state. He said that the government is ready to respond to every question from the opposition and assured that the government will actively participate in the House with thorough preparation.
On the first day of the proceedings of the legislature, the CM said, 'I heartily welcome all the members and believe that in accordance with the sentiments of the general public, all the members will present their views effectively in the house."
