Govt. realised Rs 50 cr from those caught drunk

Patna, March 21 (UNI) Bihar government said that Rs 50 crore had so far been realised from those caught drunk for the first time and announced to take action soon after completion of trials in connection with 197 hooch tragedies.
Replying to a short notice question of BJP member Sanjay Saraogi during the pre lunch sitting of Bihar Assembly on Tuesday, the Excise minister Sunil Kumar said that the state government so far has realised Rs 50 crores from those caught drunk for the first time. He said that trial in 197 hooch tragedy cases was going on and after its completion action would be initiated in the related cases soon.
Kumar said that more than 10,000 liquor mafias belonging to outside Bihar were arrested and action initiated against more than 100 of them. Referring to the policy he said that there is a policy to pay to the liquor victims after confiscating the properties of the liquor mafias after completion of trial.
