Dambulla, July 25 (UNI) India's Harmanpreet Kaur has overtaken Meg Lanning to become the second leading run-scorer in Women's T20I cricket.
Harmanpreet scored 66 against the UAE earlier in the tournament, bringing her total to 3415 T20I runs, surpassing Lanning's 3405 runs. Her teammate Smriti Mandhana, with 3378 runs, also has a chance to overtake Lanning if she scores big against Bangladesh in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup.
New Zealand's Suzie Bates remains the leading run-scorer in Women's T20I cricket with 4348 runs. Bates recently added a team-best 117 runs during a five-match T20I series against England.
