Haryana Police cracks down on drug traffickers; 6,256 arrested in NDPS cases over six years

Panchkula, Jun 5 (UNI) Haryana Police has intensified its crackdown on organized drug trafficking networks, registering 2,353 FIRs involving commercial quantities of narcotic substances under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and arresting 6,256 accused persons during the last six years.
Simultaneously, the police have targeted the financial foundations of drug syndicates by seizing, freezing or attaching properties worth Rs 72.70 crore linked to the illegal narcotics trade.
The figures were presented by Sanjay Kumar, Additional Director General of Police and Chief of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau, during a high-level review meeting chaired by Director General of Police Ajay Singhal at Police Headquarters.
