Health supervisor's suicide sparks allegations against AAP MLA

Chandigarh, Jun 15 (UNI) The death of a health department supervisor in Punjab's Mansa district has triggered a political controversy after his family alleged that an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA had threatened him over the phone, contributing to the mental distress that allegedly led to his suicide.
Bhupinder Kumar, 54, a health supervisor posted in Budhlada and a resident of Boha in Mansa district, was found dead in the Bhakra canal on Sunday evening, nearly two days after he went missing. His family has demanded action against local AAP MLA Principal Budh Ram and two department employees, claiming that Bhupinder had been under severe mental pressure in the days leading up to his death.
According to family members, Bhupinder had informed them that he had received a threatening phone call from the legislator. They alleged that certain employees, upset with his strict work ethic and disciplinary approach, had deliberately lodged complaints against him with senior officials, causing him significant stress.
