HMC will be inaugurated in the month of April: CM Sukhu

Hamirpur (HP), Feb 5 (UNI) HP Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhoo on Sunday announced that the under-construction Medical College at Jol Sapper in Hamirpur district would be inaugurated in April this year.
He said this at Nadaun today. He said that since the year 2003, he is receiving immense affection from the people as a result of this; today this region has got the opportunity to lead the state. He said that he is working with commitment to ensure the all-round development of the region as well as the state while living up to the aspirations of the people.
Sukhoo said that the government has prepared an action plan to implement plans for the bright future of the state.
The Chief Minister said that Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School would be opened in the Nadaun assembly constituency. Along with this, speed will also be given to other developmental works in the area. The state government is continuously moving forward with transparency and sensitivity. The government acted promptly in the paper leak case in Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur and the functioning of the commission has been suspended. Full transparency and selection on the basis of merit will be ensured in all future examinations.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is implementing schemes and programs giving special priority to social concerns. The Government is committed to ensuring the welfare of the underprivileged sections of society.
He said that the evil of drug abuse is the biggest challenge for the future of the country. The state government, soon after coming to power, prepared a comprehensive strategy to root out this evil.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the first budget of the state government would be public-friendly and would provide relief to the common man.
While giving top priority to public welfare, the government is also paying attention to balance the economic condition of the state. The state government is giving special priority to ensure financial discipline.
He said that paucity of funds would not be allowed to come in the way of the construction of Dr Radhakrishnan Medical College to provide quality health services to the people in the area. After completing the construction work of this college, it will be inaugurated in the month of April.
