Hospitality industry hails flight to Shimla after 10 yrs

Shimla, Sep 26 (UNI) Federation of Himachal Hotel and Restaurants Associations (FOHHRA) hailed resumption of air flights to Shimla airport after a gap of ten years.
Mohinder Seth, General Secretary (FOHHRA) told UNI that he greeted the Chief Minister for restarting Air services and for subsidising fair on 50 percent seats.
We urge the Government to ensure regular flights from Delhi to Shimla permanently to boost tourism in Shimla Circuit.The flight between Delhi Shimla started today which will benefit the tourism industry of Shimla. Many tourists miss Shimla due to shortage of time.
Now these tourists will get an opportunity to enjoy beauty of Shimla and its surroundings in a short period .The tourism department has released advertisement on social media highlighting starting of Flight to Shimla which is an appreciable step. We urge the department to continue the advertisement highlighting air connectivity to Shimla, Manali, Dharamsala to give a boost to tourism in Himachal Pradesh.
The advertisement in the social media will enable the tourists intending to visit Shimla to have information about Air connectivity well before making their program to visit the "Queen of Hills.
"Large number of tourists visit Himachal from Gujurat, Bengal and Maharashtra from the month of October till January. The flight to Shimla will be blessings for those tourists visiting Himachal from far off places.
The beginning of flights will not only benefit tourists but will also benefit local population at large. Gajinder Thakur said we request the Government to ensure that the Delhi-Shimla, Delhi-Kullu and Delhi-Kangra flights should have direct connectivity with flights from major cities of Gujurat, Bengal and Maharashtra to boost tourism in Himachal.
The stakeholders hope that by starting flight to Shimla will increase arrival of high-end tourists as well as budgeted tourists to Shimla which is a Gateway to Himachal. The tourism in Himachal will witness an increase in tourist arrivals in the times to come.
