HP: CU to host international conference on Environmental Sustainability & Climate Adaptation

Dharamshala, May 19 (UNI) The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, in collaboration with the Central University of Himachal Pradesh and Vijnana Bharati, will organise the “Second International Conference on Environmental Sustainability, Climate Adaptation and Disaster Management-2026 (ESCAD-2026)” at the Shahpur campus on May 21-22 to mark “World Environment Day-2026” and “International Day for Biological Diversity-2026”.
A press release issued today stated the international conference will provide a major platform for the exchange of knowledge, research and innovation on contemporary global issues such as environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, climate change and disaster management. Eminent scientists, academicians, researchers and experts from India and abroad are expected to participate in the event.
Experts from national institutions, including the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), will deliver keynote lectures during the conference.
