HP: CUHP ranks 9th among govt universities in IIRF 2026

Dharamshala, June 8 (UNI) The Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) has secured the 9th position among government universities in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2026, emerging as the highest-ranked university from Himachal Pradesh.
The ranking reflects the university’s strong performance in academic excellence, research, employability, international outlook, institutional development and public perception. CUHP also secured the 4th rank nationally in academic reputation and 9th rank in research outcome.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.P. Bansal attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of faculty, students, staff and stakeholders. Vice Chancellor SP Bansal told UNI that the ranking highlights the university’s commitment to quality education, research, innovation and nation-building.
