Hundred villagers complain of food poisoning after consuming 'Mahaprasad' on Datta Jayanti day

Kolhapur, Dec 6 (UNI) About a hundred villagers were hospitalised with complaints of food poisoning after consuming 'Mahaprasad' on Sri Datta Jayanti today at Sambre village in Gadhinglaj tehsil of this district.
According to police, a 'Mahaprasad' was organized at Sambre village on auspicious occasion of Sri Datta Jayanti. After consuming the Mahaprasad, about a hundred of villagers became nauseous and started vomitting and were admitted torural hospital in Nesari village. Of the total, 30 to 40 villagers were shifted to goverment hospital in Gadhinglaj for further medical treatment.
The health condition of other villagers is stated to be stable.
