If Kharge ji wishes, he can come to Karnataka: Parameshwara

Bengaluru, Oct 15 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara today said that AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge could play a larger role in state politics if he chooses to, while clarifying that any leadership decision would rest entirely with the Congress high command.
“If Kharge ji wants to come to Karnataka, it is possible. He is our senior leader,” Parameshwara told reporters, responding to queries about potential leadership changes in the state. “All these things I am not competent to answer. Any decision will be taken by the high command,” he added.
His remarks come amid speculation that the Congress may carry out a Cabinet reshuffle by late November or early December, following Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s recent indication that some changes were on the cards. The CM is said to have conveyed his displeasure over a few ministers not effectively countering Opposition criticism, prompting talk of a performance-based review.
