IIM to come up in Guwahati, likely to start functioning this year

Guwahati, Aug 14 (UNI) Northeast India will soon get its second Indian Institute of Management (IIM), with the new campus coming up in Guwahati, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced today.
While addressing a press conference, Sarma said "The central government has sanctioned the establishment of IIM in Assam."
"This will be the 22nd IIM in the country and the second in the northeast region after IIM Shillong.
