IIT Madras to organize first-ever International XR Symposium for Global South on Nov 28

Chennai, Nov 18 (UNI) The eXperiential Technology Innovation Centre (XTIC), an IIT Madras Institute of Eminence Centre in Virtual Reality and related fields, is set to organize the first-ever International XR Symposium for the Global South on November 28.
The event will spotlight frugal innovations in hardware and software for Extended Reality (XR), which includes Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Haptics.
The symposium's theme, "Frugal Tech Innovations Transforming Hardware and Software Solutions for XR in the Global South," is strategically chosen to align with India's leadership role in emerging economies.
