IMD forecasts varied rainfall across Marathwada from Aug 7

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sept 7 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a detailed rainfall forecast for the Marathwada region, covering all eight districts, from August 7, 2025, onwards.
According to the IMD, the forecast points to a mix of moderate to heavy showers under the influence of an active monsoon trough over central Maharashtra. Officials have advised residents, farmers and local authorities to remain alert for waterlogging and possible agricultural impacts, while stressing that the predictions are based on current atmospheric models and subject to revision.
In Aurangabad district, moderate rainfall of 20–40 mm is expected on August 7, followed by heavier spells of 50–70 mm on August 8 and 9, before easing to light rain by August 10. Jalna district is likely to witness 15–30 mm on August 7, rising to 60 mm on August 8, with moderate showers continuing till August 11.
