India-France joint military exercise ends

Umroi (Meghalaya), May 26 (UNI) A joint training exercise between the French and Indian armies formally came to an end on Sunday at joint training node in Umroi Cantonment of Meghalaya.
The 14-day-long exercise, named ‘Shakti’, enhanced synergy in joint tactical operations and improved
interoperability and camaraderie between the two armies.

Manipur CM distributes aid to disabled persons

Imphal, Jan 25 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh distributed advanced prosthetic devices including State-of-the-Art Myoelectric Hands and Motorized Wheelchairs, to persons with Disabilities (PwDs) at the Secretariat on Saturday.
The Chief Minister stated that after the formation of the BJP-led government in 2017, the government has been launching various schemes to aid the marginal section of society and to assist persons with disability. He spoke on schemes including Chief Minister-gi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT), Chief Minister-gi Sotharabasingi Tengbang and School Fagathansi Mission among others.
