India’s path to 'Vishwaguru' lies in empowering the left behind: Kailash Satyarthi

Nagpur, Sep 8 (UNI) India can emerge as a true Vishwaguru (world leader) only when the last and the most marginalized person in society is uplifted, said Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the 'Shikshak Paryaveshak Prashikshan Varg' organised by the Laxmanrao Mankar Smruti Sanstha yesterday, Satyarthi urged over 1,400 participating teachers to view themselves as change-makers rather than mere educators.
“Like a matchstick that sacrifices itself to light the way for others, a teacher’s role is to ignite transformation in society,” he said.

Nine Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLAs wish to be part of BJP-led NDA

Mumbai, Jul 14 (UNI) Nine out of 10 Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLAs have told Sharad Pawar's close confidante and senior party leader Jayant Patil that they would like to ally with the BJP-led NDA, at a recent meeting of all MLAs convened by Patil, sources said here on Tuesday.
At present, the Sharad Pawar-led NCP has 10 MLAs, eight Lok Sabha MPs and one Rajya Sabha MP, which is the party's president Sharad Pawar himself.

BPCL conducts nationwide fuel quality checks, finds no violations across retail outlet network
