Insurance companies to transfer compensation in to farmers bank account: Sattar

Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) Maharashtra State Agriculture Minister Abdul Sattar on Tuesday given clear instructions to the insurance companies that immediately transfer the compensation amount to the bank account of the farmers who have suffered losses due to natural calamities and unseasonal rains in the state.
He was speaking in a meeting with representatives of all major crop insurance companies here.
Insurance companies are responsible for providing crop insurance to all eligible farmers who have paid the insurance premium under Pradhan Mantri Crop Bima Yojana and are registered to receive insurance compensation due to natural calamities and unseasonal rains.
