Invoking Mahatma, Priyanka demands UP Cong chief’s release

New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) Invoking Mahatma Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday lashed out at Uttar Pradesh government and demanded UP Congress chief Ajay Lallu’s release from jail.
“Gandhiji taught us that oppressors will stop you from doing good work. But, you should stick to your job with truthfulness. UP Congress President Ajay Lallu has been jailed for serving the people. We are opposing his opression through Seva Satyagraha”, tweeted Ms Priyanka in Hindi.
Mr Lallu has been in jail from May, 20 after his arrest for alleged forgery of documents of buses, which has been arranged by his party for bringing stranded migrant workers from other states to Uttar Pradesh.
